Accessibility
politika should be easy to use for everyone, at any age and with any ability. This page says what we meet, what is still missing, and how to report a barrier.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
What we meet
Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA. That is stricter than eCH-0059, which requires WCAG 2.1 AA from federal offices. In practice:
- Large, easy-to-read type (Atkinson Hyperlegible, made for readers with low vision).
- A text-size switch in the top bar.
- Vote pages have a read-aloud button. It uses your device's own voice. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. It may be missing for Romansh.
- We never show Yes and No by colour alone, always with the word and a mark (✓ and ✗).
- The site works with a keyboard and with screen readers.
- The site works at 200% zoom without sideways scrolling.
- We write in plain language.
What is still missing
- We have not yet tested politika with people with disabilities. This is planned before launch.
- There is no easy-language (Leichte Sprache) version yet.
- There is no dark mode yet.
Report a barrier
Did something not work for you? Tell us so we can fix it. A contact address will follow before launch.
